The 71st Independence Day of India was celebrated with great enthusiasm and reverence at Amrita Vidyalayam, in order to pay tribute to all the freedom fighters who struggled for the Independence of our nation.

The ceremony started at 8 a.m. on the school grounds with staff, students and parents taking part in the celebration. The flag was hoisted by the school advisor, Mrs. Itishree Nanda. To commemorate the sovereignty of our nation, the chief guest unfurled the tri-colour flag and all sang the national anthem in unison, expressing the joy of our freedom. Arpan Mohanty of Std. VI shared his views on the significance of the day. The school choir group sang a patriotic song that made everyone emotional.
