Our school witnessed the celebration of this auspicious festival on 9th July, 2022 in the school campus. The Bahuda Yatra, the return journey of Lord Jagannath, Lord Balabhadra and Devi Subhadra concluded peacefully at the school. Rituals associated with this auspicious occasion like Mangala Arati, Surya Pooja, Dwarapala Pooja, etc. commenced in the morning as per the ethics and rituals of Mahaprabhu Shri Jagannath.

The three idols of Lord Jagannath, his elder brother Lord Balabhadra and their sister Goddess Subhadra were worshipped in the decorated chariot. Pahandi Bije of the three deities was performed under the special guidance of Principal Mrs Mousumi Patnaik and other staff members, accompanied by chants that resounded all around.

Bri Namratamrita Chaitanya performed the elaborate ritual of sweeping with sprinkling of holy water known as Chhera Panhara. The day became even more auspicious by the devotional songs of our music teacher.

The participation of the students was admirable. In view of the pandemic, special seating arrangements were made for the smooth conduct of the event under Covid guidelines. They made the day memorable by chanting JAGGANATH ASHTAHKAM. The staff and the young children pulled the chariot with devotion. The celebration ended with distribution of Prasad.
