On February 14, 2022, Amrita Vidyalayam Bhubaneswar commemorated Pulwama Martyrs Day by paying homage to the forty brave soldiers who got martyrdom in the line of duty. The whole school acknowledged the highest sacrifice of Indian jawans with deep grief and reverence.

Our teacher Mrs. Minati Pattajoshi narrated the stories of soldiers who laid their lives on the altar of responsibility in a mean cowardly attack by terrorists on 14th February, 2019. The students and staff lit candles as a moving salute to the soldiers.

The school atmosphere reverberated with patriotic songs by the school choir, and the tune ‘Aye mere watanke logo..’ especially made the environment thick with emotion. The School Principal Mrs. Mousumi Pattnaik urged the students and teachers to never forget the supreme sacrifice of the soldiers for the safety of the country, and to stand together to eliminate every kind of terrorism from the world.
