AMRITA VIDYALAYAM COMMEMORATES UTKAL DIVAS

On April 1, 2022, Amrita Vidyalayam, Bhubaneswar honored the brave hearts of the state whose steadfastness and supreme sacrifice gave shape to modern Odisha on this day in 1936. The staff celebrated the day with all zest and fervour with the colors and tastes of Odisha.

The day began with Bri Namratamrita Chaitanyaji greeting all the staff and welcoming the newly appointed teachers on campus. This was also a day of much learning and fun-filled activities as it marked the beginning of the two-day Teacher Development Programme. Thus, on this auspicious occasion, the Resource Person of the Lead Team, Mrs. Nupur Anand lit the sacred lamp revering Satguru Mata Amritanandamayi Devi whose portrait was beautifully adorned with colorful flowers. The ambience was festive with the  rangolis made by  the teachers. The chorus by teachers led by Mrs. Madhuchhanda reverberated in the school air with the melodious state anthem ‘Bande Utkal Janani’. Mrs Madhuchhanda also zeroed in on the importance of observing Utkal Divas.

Following this, the Teacher Mentoring session started as Mr Santosh Kumar introduced Mrs. Nupur Anand, the eminent teacher educator of the two-day LEAD Schools Teacher Development Workshop. Mrs Anand explained the LEAD education system meticulously and also elucidated different strategies like PTMR, KURPC, I-Homework etc. She guided the teachers on how to conduct smart classes with teaching tabs. The orientation was action packed with very interesting and enjoyable activities. Some of the teachers were given tabs to prepare a demo class for the next day.

The inaugural day of the workshop came to an end with Shanti Mantra. It was really an exciting and informative day for everyone.
