A group of mentors comprising of 5 Principals of CBSE schools headed by Mr. Akhileswar Mishra, Principal of DM School, Bhubaneswar visited Amrita Vidyalayam, Bhubaneswar on September 6, 2019. According to the latest CBSE circular, the newly affiliated schools of the Board will be guided by a group of advisers to integrate them with the best practices of the CBSE framework. For this purpose, the mentors not only appraised the infrastructure and facilities of the school, but also interacted with the students during their classroom visits. Later, a special discussion was convened for all the teachers of the school for deliberations on various issues related to the teaching – learning process. Mr. Mishra threw light on child psychology in learning, professional autonomy, inclusive education and various other NCERT guidelines. The team appreciated the school for its student friendly atmosphere imbued with a spiritual ambience. Principal Ms. Mousumi Patnaik extended a warm welcome to the CBSE team and coordinated the whole programme.
