Students of our Amrita Vidyalayam visited Barahpita Village in Mendhasal Gram Panchayat. Under the aegis of Mata Amritanandamayi Math, Ammachi Labs has adopted three villages in Mendhasal Gram Panchayat, Guptapada, Harinamada and Barahpita to spread social awareness and uplift the village people. At the outset, our students participated in the Connect the Students programme to bridge the gap with the children of the village by volunteering themselves in teaching dance and music and performing short skits on social media. Guided by their teachers, our students made wholesome khichdi, distributed it to the village children and partook it along with them. The entire programme was coordinated by our Principal Mrs. Mousumi Patnaik, guided by Bri. Sheeja, Mata Amritanandamayi Math, Kerala.
