The students and staff of Amrita Vidyalayam, Bhubaneswar celebrated the much-awaited Ganesh Chaturthi on the school campus in a unique way. Students, staff, and parents witnessed this jubilation.
As a part of celebrations, a special assembly was organised in the school. One of our teachers, Ms Pravati Nayak shared the importance of the festival in society, and a melodious group song was rendered praising Lord Ganesha.
Principal Ms. Mousumi Pattnaik, with the help of staff, arranged everything for welcoming Ganapathi on the school premises. The decoration was commendable using the best of the resources and materials available. The day started with devotional bhajans dedicated to Gajanan led by brahmacharinis, Namratamritaji and Rasikamritaji. The reverberation of Vedic mantra chanting not only filled the school campus, but also purified every heart present at the sacred occasion. More than two hundred students partook in the flower offering with devotion, and felt blessed with Bighnaraj Darshan and holy Arati. To make the festivity more memorable, students of Class X sang a devotional song.
The whole atmosphere was charged with the festivity. The significance of the festival with emphasis on eco-friendly ways of celebrating it was explained to the students. The programme concluded with positive vibrations all around. The day ended with prasad sevan.
