INTERNATIONAL YOGA DAY 2024

We celebrated International Yoga Day at our school, focusing on this year’s theme, “Yoga for Self and Society.” This theme highlights yoga’s power to harmonize our minds and bodies and extend its benefits to others.

Yoga is essential for maintaining a healthy body and a relaxed, anxiety-free mind. However, a deeper understanding and practice of yoga can help us realize our infinite potential, freeing us from the grip of the ego,” says Amma.

Yoga liberates us from dependence on the external world, leading us to rely solely on our inner Self. The happiness and security we gain from this ‘Self-dependence’ is permanent and remains unaffected by external circumstances.

The program was conducted by Mr. Santosh Kumar, Ms. Pravati Nayak, and Ms. Puspanjali Das. It included stretching exercises and Surya Namaskar. Additionally, the students performed a dance as part of the celebration.
