AMMA’S 68th BIRTHDAY CELEBRATIONS

Amrita Vidyalayam, Bhubaneswar celebrated the 68th Birthday of Mata Amritanandamayi Devi virtually on Sunday at school. The celebration witnessed huge participation by students and parents.

The celebration commenced with the lighting of the sacred lamp by Principal Mrs. Mousumi Patnaik and other illustrious dignitaries, followed by a musical chorus. Students and teachers worshipped the holy feet of Amma and prayed for her blessings during the Pada puja ritual.

Srimad Bhagavad Gita Chanting competition was organized on the occasion, and students from several CBSE schools in the city participated in this competition.

In the cultural segment of the celebration, students initiated a cultural exploration with melodious bhajans and Guru stotram. The 108 sacred names of Amma, the spiritual mother of divine inspiration, were chanted by the students, which moved the hearts of the audience.

The star achievers of AISSE 2019, the maiden batch of Class X, and AISSE 2020, the second batch, were felicitated. The revered festivities ended with the sacred Aarti to Amma and prasad distribution to devotees.

The guests of honor on the virtual platform congratulated the school on its glorious achievements and praised the students and teachers for the wonderful programs and the spiritual environment. Principal Mrs. Mousumi Pattanaik coordinated the whole celebration. Parents were full of appreciation for the devotional and caring atmosphere provided by the school for their children.
