The students of Amrita Vidyalayam, Bhubaneswar honoured their teachers deeply on Teachers’ Day, Monday, September 5th. The school also commemorated the life and philosophy of Dr Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan on the occasion.

The celebration gathered momentum with the lighting of the sacred lamp by Principal Mrs Mousumi Pattnaik, followed by a speech in which she described teachers as the heart of the educational system with their contributions towards nurturing the future generation.

Students in honour of their teachers presented an array of entertaining activities like skit, dance, songs, and speeches eulogizing their mentors. There were also some special activities such as Question Round and Tongue Twisters, etc. to bring colour to the occasion. The students invited their teachers to speak their heart out. Just before the proposal of the vote of thanks to mark the end of the festivities, there was a special comic dance by students that made the whole atmosphere vibrate with laughter and jubilation.
