To charge the school ambience with Amma’s blessings, a sacred havan was performed by Dr Satya Swaroop Bajpayee under the guidance of Bri Namratamrita Chaitanya prior to the arrival of the students for offline classes.
Students of classes 8 – 10 had Self-Management Workshop. The topics covered were, “Learn how to Manage your Tension, Stress and Fears” & “Lead a Happy, Peaceful, Contented and Successful Life!! The sessions were conducted by two professors from Amrita University, Bri Amritatmika Chaitanya, Assistant Professor, Amrita School of Engineering and Bri Niseema, Assistant Professor at the School of Biotechnology.
Bri Amritatmika has been teaching at the Department of Computer Science at Amrita University, Amritapuri Campus, Kerala, since its inception in 2002, where she has also been serving as Vice Chairperson of the department for the past 6 years. She is part of the National Coordination Committee of AYUDH & IAM at Amritapuri and coordinates Meditation, Yoga and youth programs through the Office of Youth Empowerment at Amrita University. Before joining Amrita University, she worked as a software engineer for a few years.
Brahmacharini Niseema, a Masters in Microbiology, has been teaching at the School of Biotechnology, Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Amritapuri Campus, Kerala, since 2004. She is part of the National Coordination Committee of AYUDH & IAM at Amritapuri and coordinates Meditation, Yoga and youth programs through the Office of Youth Empowerment of Amrita University. She moved to Amrita in 2004 to pursue a life of service under the guidance of Sri Mata Amritanandamayi Devi, affectionately known as Amma, the world-renowned humanitarian and spiritual leader.
The children enjoyed the whole session which also included fun-filled activities and games to enhance and learn new skills for protecting and saving the environment around us.
