Bhubaneswar May 02: Amrita Vidyalayam, Bhubaneswar celebrated International Labour Day on Monday to honour our support staff and recognize their contribution for the growth of the institution.

“All labour uplifts humanity as they escort the winners to their goals. Everyone must appreciate the dignity of labour because without it nothing succeeds”, said School Principal Mrs Mousumi Pattanaik in her address which marked the beginning of the celebration.  Each member of the support staff was welcomed with beautiful bouquets. Dr Satyaswarup Vajpayee, the Sanskrit teacher of the school, accentuated the importance of labour for the development and progress of society. As a token of love and acknowledgement, the support group members were given new clothes on the occasion. Mr Chaitanya, one of the drivers, also spoke about the significance of the day and expressed his gratitude to the school management and the staff for their continuous support and celebrating the day so beautifully.

The day ended with a delicious luncheon for all the staff members. The festivity strengthened the bond among all the staff for the advancement of the school, irrespective of each one’s job profile.
