The festive air of the festival of lights hung gracefully over Amrita Vidyalayam Bhubaneswar, inspiring a spirit of joy in every heart as the students and staff got busy to make the celebration a most memorable one. Following all SOPs issued by the Government, the school was decorated with attractive diyas and rangolis. On November 2nd, the day before Diwali, students of Std. VIII, IX, and X came together to multiply the Diwali delight. The teachers adorn the prayer hall with brilliant rangoli, and the students and the Principal Ms. Mousumi Pattnaik lit the inaugural diya to mark the beginning of the celebration. She also administered Green Diwali Pledge to all the staff and students to remind everyone to celebrate a green and eco-friendly Diwali this year. Dr. Satya Swarup Bajpayee, the Sanskrit faculty of the school stressed the victory of good over evil while narrating the legends behind the celebration. Making the moments more pleasant, Bri. Rasikamrita Chaitanyaji distributed sweets as everyone wished each other ‘Happy Diwali’. The festival of divinity and wealth brought a lot of hope to win over the hardships of the pandemic soon, and embrace the richness of life with renewed vigor.
