The students and staff of Amrita Vidyalayam, Bhubaneswar celebrated the much-awaited Ganesh Chaturthi on the school campus with pomp and ceremony. Students, staff, and parents witnessed this jubilation in addition to the celebration of Nuakhai in advance.

The Principal, Ms. Mousumi Pattnaik with the help of the staff arranged everything for welcoming Ganapathi on the school premises. The decoration was commendable using the best of the available resources and materials.

The day started with devotional bhajans dedicated to Gajanan. The reverberation of Vedic Mantra chanting not only filled the school campus, but also purified every heart present on the sacred occasion. Hundreds of students with their family members partook in the flower offering full of devotion and felt blessed with Bighnaraj Darshan and holy alati. To make the festivity more memorable, students of Class IX presented a group dance, while Sriya Mohapatra of Std. VIII performed a solo dance and Shreya Jagadev of Class VII sang a devotional number.

Nuakhai, the most joyous festival of Western Odisha also saw its vibrant colours on the premises with the special Nuakhai dance by the students of Class VII and talk on the celebration by a teacher. The day ended with prasad sevan.
